We’re excited to share a milestone from this year’s expansion programme — the planting of more than 1,500 new oil palm stands across our plantation in Nsit Ibom. It’s one of the biggest single additions to our stock since Cefaan Farms was founded in 2019.
Why We’re Expanding
Demand for our fresh palm oil and crude palm kernel oil has grown steadily, from food manufacturers, cosmetics companies, and agro-processors alike. Rather than stretch our existing stands thinner, we chose to expand the plantation itself, adding acreage and new palm stands to keep pace with orders without compromising on quality.
What 1,500 New Stands Means for Supply
New palm stands take a few years to reach full productivity, so this expansion is really an investment in our supply capacity for the seasons ahead. It builds on a plantation that already covers over 100 acres and more than 6,000 palm stands, and it should meaningfully increase our monthly output once the new stands mature.
Looking Ahead
Expansion like this also means more work — from field supervision to harvesting to processing — which is part of why we’re growing our team alongside our plantation. We’ll keep sharing updates as the new stands develop.
